This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Telemann Ensemble. To celebrate the occasion, a truly special concert will be presented November 4th at the Church of St-Thomas d’Aquin in St-Lambert, where the very first concert was given by the Ensemble in 1992.

The concert will take a particular turn and will be presented in two parts. The first one will include two works of a rarely surpassed beauty and eloquently explicit as to their respective musical style. First, the Te Deum of Marc-Antoine Charpentier, one of his masterpieces, a symbol of peace and sung on great occasions, that will give our anniversary a solemn and festive character. And the second, a vibrant tribute will be paid to Johann Sebastian Bach with his Missa brevis in G minor BWV 235.

The second part is unabashedly relaxed, playful and jovial, in which the choir will be joined by a first rate jazz quartet in a selection of pieces drawn from the famous American Song Book. You will thus be transported both in time and style and will partake in a most exciting and colourful journey.
